Security and Bug Fix Updates
Lineox provides binary program package updates for the following
Linux distribution versions:
Lineox™ Enterprise Linux 4.0 updates
Lineox™ Enterprise Linux 3.0 updates
Lineox™ Enterprise Linux 2.1 updates
Lineox provides updated packages for all Lineox Enterprise Linux versions
with an automated system which offers new packages usually in less than 12 hours
after security, feature enhancement or bug fix packages have been released as source code.
If multiple packages are released simultaneously or packages take a
long time to compile (like the Linux kernel), it will take longer for
Lineox to release binary packages, but less than 24 hours.
Please note that if you have a legacy Red Hat 9 system, we have written a
Migration to Lineox Enterprise Linux 3.0 from Red Hat 9 HOWTO,
which can also be used for migration from Red Hat Linux 7.3 and 8.0.
Please note that if you have a legacy Red Hat 7.x system, we have written a
Migration from Red Hat 7.2 to Lineox Enterprise Linux 2.1 HOWTO,
which can also be used for migration from Red Hat Linux 7.0 and 7.1.
Linux Distribution Customizing
Lineox Enterprise Linux 4.0 is customized using
Distribution Definition Directory. Distribution Definition Directory is a data structure used to define
variables and static files when building a new distribution and
updates to it. Distribution Definition Directory helps to separate
data and script logic which are together used to build a
distribution. If you want a different name and for example
login graphics, download
Distribution Definition Directory tar ball, request a
quote and
explain your special needs.
